Entry Points is a re-entry artist and writer residency for returning citizens sentenced as juveniles to mandatory life without parole, without accessible housing or income, to live and work as they transition to life outside in Detroit, Michigan.
While in residence, re-entry support is provided by a convergence of activists, educators, artists, writers, and other formerly incarcerated people in our existing and expanding network to assist each resident during their transition. During the residency, housing costs and utilities are covered and an honorarium is provided to cover studio materials. Opportunities to publicly present work or to produce a text is made available to each resident during their stay.
